Responsibilities
- Deploy and configure test instances and PostgreSQL or other databases on-premises and in AWS or GCP using Docker, Kubernetes, and Jenkins.
- Troubleshoot deployment, test, and product issues.
- Develop performance tests using LoadRunner, DevWeb, Apache Benchmark, Cypress, and custom Python, Perl, Bash, and SQL scripts.
- Monitor and analyze test results, Jenkins logs, application logs, PostgreSQL logs, cloud monitoring data, and other telemetry to diagnose bottlenecks.
- Use tools including NetData, Prometheus, Grafana, New Relic, Datadog, RabbitMQ, Docker, Kubernetes, and database queries to gain performance insights.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of dedicated performance engineering experience.
- Strong experience with Linux, Docker, Kubernetes, GCP and/or AWS.
- Experience with LoadRunner, JMeter, or other performance testing tools.
- Strong scripting experience with Bash, Perl, Python, or similar tools.
- Experience diagnosing bottlenecks in PostgreSQL or other relational database queries.
- Experience with performance monitoring tools such as New Relic, Prometheus, Grafana, or Datadog.
- Experience with complex, containerized, distributed products in the cloud is preferred.
