Responsibilities
- Develop, validate, benchmark, and release software features using software development best practices.
- Write clean code and unit tests, conduct code reviews, and optimize deliverables for scale, velocity, and reliability.
- Debug and resolve complex development and production issues while identifying risks and escalating problems when needed.
- Monitor production systems, support on-call escalations, and lead postmortems with root-cause analysis.
- Lead projects or medium-sized features from technical design through completion and contribute to software engineering roadmaps.
- Collaborate with design, product management, and cross-functional stakeholders to gather input and deliver solutions.
- Identify improvements to the software development lifecycle, engineering practices, and product integration opportunities.
- Mentor junior engineers and support teammates through code reviews, documentation, presentations, and technical guidance.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and 7 years of related experience, or master's degree and 4 years of related experience, or PhD and 1 year of related experience.
- Solid conceptual and practical knowledge in the primary technical job family and knowledge of related technical job families.
- Experience working with a range of technologies.
- Ability to work independently, lead projects or features, collaborate cross-functionally, and mentor less-experienced engineers.
