Responsibilities
- Develop, evaluate, and deploy agentic AI systems that handle complex insurance operations.
- Own meaningful features or system improvements from design through deployment.
- Shape technical decisions involving architecture, tooling, and infrastructure.
- Own a core product area such as conversational AI, workflows, or integrations and drive its roadmap.
- Lead technical initiatives that ship directly to customers.
- Work closely with customers and Forward Deployed Engineers to guide product direction.
- Establish engineering best practices and mentor newer engineers.
- Contribute to product and technical strategy as an early engineer.
Requirements
- 4+ years of full-stack web development experience, preferably including startup experience.
- Deep experience with TypeScript, React, and Node.js.
- Experience with AWS or other cloud infrastructure.
- Experience with PostgreSQL.
- A track record of owning technically challenging, cross-functional projects.
- Strong attention to detail and an eye for design.
- Interest in talking to users and a customer-first mindset.
- Strong communication skills, teamwork, self-motivation, and ability to work independently.
- Preferred: experience deploying reliable LLM-based products in production.
- Preferred: experience with Vite and TanStack Router, TanStack Query, or TanStack Table.
- Preferred: experience with Temporal.
- Preferred: experience with data-intensive or real-time applications.
