Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and operate scalable AWS cloud infrastructure focused on reliability, security, and operability.
  • Develop reusable Infrastructure as Code patterns with Terraform, including modules, state management, workspaces, and safe deployment standards.
  • Improve CI/CD, deployment automation, GitOps workflows, and engineering automation across services and environments.
  • Own monitoring, alerting, logging, dashboards, observability, and actionable operational runbooks.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and incident response while driving postmortems and follow-through.
  • Partner with developers to improve system design, performance, and operational maturity.
  • Lead responsible adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted coding, code review, testing, troubleshooting, and refactoring tools.
  • Establish secure coding, peer review, automated testing, and AI-output validation standards across the team.
  • Conduct pull request reviews, share knowledge, and promote reuse of effective engineering patterns.

Requirements

  • Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and at least 5 years of applied experience.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS services including ECS, EKS, Lambda, API Gateway, S3, DynamoDB, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch, and KMS.
  • Proficiency with Terraform, including modules, state management, and workspaces.
  • Advanced understanding of Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD practices.
  • Experience with networking fundamentals including load balancers, DNS, firewalls, and VPNs.
  • Experience with Jenkins pipelines, Groovy, shared libraries, and Spinnaker deployment strategies such as canary and blue-green deployments.
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and EKS orchestration.
  • Experience with artifact management tools including Nexus, ECR, and JFrog.
  • Experience with scripting and automation using Python, Bash, and Go, plus JSON and RESTful APIs.
  • Experience leading safe, compliant use of AI-assisted software development tools and validating AI outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
  • Understanding of responsible AI engineering practices, data sensitivity, secure input/output handling, resiliency, and security expectations.
  • Preferred experience with performance engineering and cost optimization using a FinOps mindset.
