Base Salary
$99k - $165k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, test, deploy, and operate customer-facing subscription experiences using React and modern JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Contribute to frontend architecture, component design, state management, performance, accessibility, testing, and maintainability.
- Build and integrate backend services and APIs primarily in Java, while contributing to Node.js services, tooling, and automation.
- Own features and technical solutions through implementation, deployment, observability, production support, and continuous improvement.
- Contribute to monorepo shared libraries, tooling, build systems, AWS infrastructure, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, and developer tooling.
- Help operate and improve Jenkins, Airflow, and other engineering platforms and services.
- Participate in on-call rotations, incident response, troubleshooting, and follow-up improvements.
- Collaborate with engineers, product partners, and stakeholders while communicating technical decisions, risks, and dependencies.
- Use AI-assisted engineering tools for implementation, testing, debugging, investigation, documentation, and automation.
Requirements
- BA/BS in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 2 years of professional software engineering experience building and supporting production applications.
- At least 2 years of frontend development experience with React and modern JavaScript or TypeScript.
- Experience building or integrating backend services and APIs, preferably with Java.
- Experience with Node.js for services, APIs, automation, build tooling, or developer tooling.
- Understanding of frontend fundamentals including component design, state management, testing, performance, accessibility, responsive design, and web standards.
- Experience with shared or monorepo-based codebases, common libraries, dependencies, or development tooling.
- Familiarity with AWS, CI/CD, production observability, and troubleshooting production applications.
- Ability to independently deliver well-defined features and collaborate effectively with technical and product stakeholders.
- Experience using AI-assisted engineering tools in day-to-day development.
- Preferred qualifications include 3+ years of professional software engineering experience, strong React and Java experience, AWS Infrastructure as Code, containerized workloads, production support, on-call participation, and familiarity with ECS, Lambda, S3, RDS, IAM, CloudWatch, Jenkins, Airflow, or DataDog.
