Responsibilities
- Analyze, investigate, correct, and monitor data integrity issues using SQL, logs, DynamoDB, RDS, and code-based root cause analysis.
- Design and implement scalable backend services and RESTful APIs with Node.js and AWS services.
- Optimize system performance and troubleshoot complex technical issues.
- Collaborate with client stakeholders, engineers, designers, and managers to gather requirements, plan work, and deliver features.
- Create secure, scalable, performant, testable, and high-quality enterprise software.
- Participate in Agile planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, estimation, governance, and project delivery.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to Communities of Practice and broader engineering capability development.
- Independently drive delivery from conceptualization through deployment within established architecture.
Requirements
- Professional software engineering experience working on multidisciplinary teams.
- Expertise designing and implementing Node.js backend services and APIs.
- Experience with AWS Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, RDS, and related serverless infrastructure.
- Experience querying data stores and analyzing logs to diagnose and remediate data errors and inconsistencies.
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, SOLID principles, RESTful APIs, microservices, and scalable enterprise systems.
- Experience with high-level design using UML, C4, or ArchiMate.
- Familiarity with OWASP, unit testing, object-relational mappers, and architectural and design patterns.
- Experience with Agile software development methodologies.
- Experience mentoring engineers and technical decision-makers.
- Preferred experience with frontend build tools, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS S3, and backend performance optimization.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, English-language, and proactive collaboration skills.
