Responsibilities
- Understand product requirements, functional flows, and business logic while designing and executing test cases, scenarios, and test data.
- Perform manual functional, regression, smoke, and sanity testing; identify, track, and verify defects using tools such as Jira.
- Write and maintain UI automation tests with Playwright using Java or TypeScript.
- Execute automated test suites, analyze results, and improve test coverage, test structure, selectors, assertions, and automation stability.
- Perform API testing by validating payloads, status codes, authentication, headers, and error handling.
- Automate API tests using Rest Assured or Playwright.
- Collaborate with developers to reproduce and resolve issues and participate in requirement reviews.
- Execute basic load tests and analyze reports using Apache JMeter when needed.
Requirements
- 1–3 years of experience or internship experience in software testing.
- Strong understanding of software testing fundamentals and manual testing methodologies.
- Basic understanding of automation testing concepts and hands-on or academic experience with Playwright using Java or TypeScript.
- Knowledge of Git and version control.
- Basic understanding of CI/CD pipelines and API testing.
- Familiarity with SDLC and STLC.
- Good analytical, problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
- Experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, or Java is preferred.
- Exposure to JMeter or performance testing and familiarity with Linux commands are preferred.
