Responsibilities
- Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams to execute product and business strategy.
- Contribute to the full development cycle including design, development, testing, and launch.
- Review code and design documents, providing feedback on product specifications.
- Mentor engineers and contribute to improving developer workflows and best practices.
- Participate in strategic planning and decision-making for backend development.
- Balance speed and quality while building new products.
Requirements
- BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
- 3+ years of experience in large-scale distributed systems.
- 5+ years of professional software development experience in languages like Go, Python, Ruby, Java, or C++.
- Experience with GraphQL, REST, HTTP, and API design.
- Familiarity with distributed caching layers and large-scale data storage systems like Cassandra.
- Proven track record of developing scalable and reliable systems.
- Experience leading projects requiring cross-team collaboration.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
- Self-directed with an entrepreneurial spirit and ability to thrive in ambiguity.
- Excellent communication skills for remote collaboration.
