Base Salary

$114k - $213k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, document, test, and debug applications software and systems.
  • Collaborate with equipment designers and hardware engineers on electronic data processing systems and software.
  • Determine user needs and analyze system capabilities to resolve program, input, output, and control issues.
  • Prepare operating instructions and develop compilers, assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems.
  • Ensure software standards are met.
  • Travel up to 25% of the time.

Requirements

  • Principal Engineer Level 3 requires a STEM bachelor's degree and 5 years of related professional or military software engineering experience, or a master's degree and 3 years, or a PhD and 1 year.
  • Senior Principal Engineer Level 4 requires a STEM bachelor's degree and 8 years of related professional or military software engineering experience, or a master's degree and 6 years, or a PhD and 3 years.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government clearance and Special Access Program eligibility within a reasonable period determined by business needs.
  • An active U.S. government Secret clearance or higher is preferred.
  • Demonstrated communication and technical writing skills are preferred.
  • Ability to brief technical presentations to stakeholders is preferred.
  • U.S. citizenship is required for positions requiring a government clearance.
