Base Salary
$175k - $235k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own technical delivery of Cape’s products in federal and national security customer environments from prototype through operational acceptance and sustainment.
- Embed with customer teams to understand workflows, threat models, and operational constraints.
- Configure, integrate, and tune Cape’s mobile core capabilities for each mission profile.
- Lead customer exercises, pilots, and demonstrations that produce decision-quality evidence.
- Provide technical support during live operations and incidents, conduct root-cause analyses, and drive preventive platform fixes.
- Write production-grade code for integrations, tooling, glue, and one-off capabilities that unblock deployments.
- Prototype and validate product features in the field and collaborate with core engineering teams on successful solutions.
- Translate mission requirements and deployment evidence into prioritized engineering and product roadmap decisions.
- Partner with Product, Engineering, Business Development, and Solutions Architects on captures, pilots, and follow-on opportunities.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in software engineering or forward deployed engineering.
- Technical breadth across coding, networking troubleshooting, and systems-level tradeoffs.
- Ability to scope ambiguous problems, sequence delivery, and prioritize independently.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for customer briefings, engineering tickets, and working sessions.
- High ownership, resourcefulness, and a track record of delivering under ambiguity.
- Experience engaging directly with customers to scope technical requirements and deliver end to end.
- U.S. citizenship and eligibility for a U.S. Top Secret security clearance; active TS is strongly preferred.
- Preferred experience includes an active TS/SCI clearance, military or government civilian experience, or work in communications, signals, cyber, or intelligence.
- Preferred background includes mobile networks, telecom, networking infrastructure, or cybersecurity.
- Preferred experience includes customer-facing deployment work, early-stage startup operations, mentoring technical teammates, and moving field-driven features into a core product roadmap.
