Responsibilities
- Design, build, and deliver scalable software systems used across more than 70 countries.
- Develop and maintain core wallet, payment, anti-fraud, and payment-lifecycle features using Java and Kotlin.
- Lead backend engineering efforts focused on distributed systems and global payment operations.
- Own services end to end, including infrastructure automation, continuous deployment, and production operations.
- Define and execute unit, integration, contract, and end-to-end testing strategies.
- Apply design patterns, SOLID principles, Domain-Driven Design, and secure coding practices.
- Diagnose and resolve complex production issues across multi-region distributed microservices platforms.
- Drive operational excellence through on-call standards, reliability engineering, observability, mentorship, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Proven experience designing and delivering software systems in complex business domains at global scale.
- Deep backend engineering expertise, preferably with distributed systems.
- Hands-on mastery of Java, Kotlin, Spring, Spring Boot, Hibernate, and JUnit.
- Strong ownership mindset with experience or enthusiasm for automation, CI/CD, and reliability.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills, curiosity, creativity, and attention to detail.
- High standards for software quality, performance, and craftsmanship.
