Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage infrastructure as code using Terraform.
- Oversee and optimize AWS infrastructure, including EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM, CloudFormation, and other AWS services.
- Apply SRE practices to improve availability, resilience, observability, performance, and production reliability.
- Develop and maintain serverless applications using AWS Lambda.
- Implement and manage Apache Kafka for real-time data processing and event streaming.
- Develop, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines.
- Use AI-powered tools and automation to improve troubleshooting, monitoring, incident response, and DevOps efficiency.
- Set up and manage monitoring and logging systems.
- Implement security best practices and maintain compliance with applicable standards and policies.
- Collaborate with development teams on application integration and deployment.
- Create scripts and automation tools to streamline operational processes.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in a DevOps role focused on web applications and AWS infrastructure.
- Proficiency with Terraform and extensive experience developing and managing AWS Lambda serverless applications.
- Strong knowledge of Apache Kafka for event streaming and real-time data processing.
- Proficiency with Node.js, Express.js, and NestJS.
- Understanding of SRE principles, including reliability, observability, incident management, availability, and performance.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or CircleCI.
- Proficiency with Git and experience using monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or CloudWatch.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and particularly Amazon EKS.
- Experience using or strong interest in using AI-powered tools and automation for infrastructure and engineering workflows.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, independence, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- AWS DevOps Engineer certification or other relevant AWS certification is preferred.
- Python or Bash scripting experience is preferred.
- Familiarity with database management and optimization involving SQL and NoSQL databases is preferred.
