Responsibilities
- Define a long-term, resilient data platform architecture and technical roadmap with data and enterprise architects.
- Architect and optimize high-throughput batch and streaming data pipelines using the Google Cloud ecosystem.
- Assemble, acquire, cleanse, transform, validate, and publish complex data sets from varied sources.
- Own the DataOps and infrastructure-as-code strategy for provisioning reproducible, version-controlled, modular cloud environments.
- Build and standardize automated CI/CD pipelines with testing, data contract validation, and zero-downtime deployment practices.
- Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, high-availability practices, and GCP cost and resource optimization.
- Embed enterprise security controls and data governance standards into deployment pipelines and infrastructure configurations.
- Guide and mentor engineering teams while establishing standards for code reviews, architecture documentation, and production readiness.
Requirements
- Proven senior experience in data engineering and/or management.
- Experience with Azure and/or Google Cloud Platform.
- Knowledge of SQL, Python, PySpark, and coding standards.
- Hands-on experience writing clean, effective code.
- Client management and communication skills.
- Experience with Databricks and Power BI is preferred.
- DAMA certification, CI/CD tool experience, and familiarity with DevOps methodologies are preferred.
