Responsibilities
- Contribute to software development projects within multidisciplinary engineering teams.
- Design, develop, test and integrate software solutions.
- Write clean, maintainable and well-tested code.
- Support software integration, debugging and problem investigation.
- Participate in sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives, technical reviews and collaborative design discussions.
- Help deliver mission-critical Command and Control capabilities for UK defence customers.
Requirements
- Currently working toward a relevant degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Cyber Security, Mathematics or a related technical discipline, or demonstrate equivalent knowledge and skills through work experience or other training.
- Experience developing software with one or more languages such as Java, C++, C#, Python or a similar language.
- Understanding of the software development lifecycle.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with clear communication and collaboration abilities.
- Interest in software development and technology, willingness to learn, and ability to work effectively in a team.
- Sole UK citizenship and eligibility to gain and maintain UK Government Security Check clearance.
- Relevant skills gained through apprenticeships, certifications, bootcamps, open-source contributions or personal projects are also considered.
