Base Salary

$180k - $271k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Drive integration, validation, and commercialization of embedded DSP and NPU software solutions across Qualcomm platforms.
  • Debug complex software and system issues in real-time embedded environments using debuggers, logs, traces, and crash dump analysis.
  • Develop and improve continuous integration, automated testing, and software release processes.
  • Use AI-driven tools and automation to improve build, release, triage, and validation workflows.
  • Manage software configuration and source control processes using GitHub and related development frameworks.
  • Collaborate with hardware, firmware, systems, tools, and architecture teams to resolve critical issues.
  • Lead issue investigation and root cause analysis across software components and platform layers.
  • Integrate and test software on target hardware platforms for performance, stability, and deployment readiness.
  • Support OEM customers and technology partners during commercialization activities when required.
  • Contribute to technical planning, process improvements, and engineering best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and 6+ years, master's degree and 5+ years, or PhD and 4+ years of relevant engineering experience.
  • At least 2 years of experience with high-performance microprocessor design.
  • At least 3 years of programming experience in languages such as C, C++, Python, or Java.
  • Experience developing or integrating software in embedded systems environments.
  • Strong debugging and root cause analysis skills across software and hardware interactions.
  • Experience with source control, software configuration management, and Git-based development workflows.
  • Experience with continuous integration, automated testing, and software release processes.
  • Preferred experience includes DSP, NPU, AI/ML, multimedia, camera, audio, edge computing, RTOS, SoC architectures, low-level software, build systems, test automation, and release engineering.
  • Ability to lead complex technical initiatives, influence cross-functional teams, and work effectively with geographically distributed engineering organizations.
