Responsibilities
- Design, architect, develop, integrate, test, and administer embedded and real-time software.
- Participate in the full software development life cycle, including requirements, design, implementation, qualification, and customer delivery.
- Develop software for flight and mission-critical systems in an embedded technology environment using real-time operating systems.
- Work in Agile Scrum teams to develop software products across multiple software baselines.
- Analyze system capabilities and resolve issues involving program intent, requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline and 5 years of related engineering experience, or a master’s degree and 3 years, or a PhD and 1 year.
- Experience with the full software development life cycle, embedded system programming, software integration, and testing.
- Experience with C, C++, and Python.
- Experience developing multithreaded software for flight-critical, safety-critical, medical, or mission-critical real-time applications.
- Experience with at least two of Jira, GitLab, Docker, Fortify, or Coverity.
- Active U.S. Government Secret Clearance.
- Preferred qualifications include familiarity with data interfaces such as 1553, 422, 429, Serial, Discrete, Ethernet/IP, and Fibre Channel.
- Preferred qualifications include proficiency with C++ software on VxWorks, Integrity, Real-Time Embedded Linux, Docker containers, RHEL, container networks, and container failover.
- Preferred qualifications include assembly-language reading, CPU documentation, code-based defect identification, software architecture documentation, OS partitioning and isolation architectures, and airworthiness certification requirements.
