Responsibilities
- Lead firmware QA and qualification across Graphcore’s next-generation hardware platforms.
- Verify low-level software for boot, configuration, monitoring, power sequencing, hardware interfaces, and telemetry.
- Design test infrastructure, build high-coverage tests, and create reliable production-quality gates.
- Convert requirements and use cases into acceptance tests across firmware, software, and platform teams.
- Debug cross-layer issues with hardware, debuggers, and analysers and drive root-cause investigations.
- Guide testing best practices, set technical standards, and mentor engineers through hands-on leadership.
Requirements
- Significant experience qualifying firmware for complex embedded systems.
- Deep understanding of real-time embedded systems and complex boot logic.
- Experience working with hardware, debuggers, and analysers.
- Strong understanding of I2C, I3C, SMBus, SPI, PCIe, DDR, silicon, hardware interfaces, and power management.
- Experience with build tools, CI/CD, and modern testing practices.
- Ability to debug cross-layer issues, lead root-cause investigations, and communicate complex technical concepts clearly.
