Base Salary
$116k - $195k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and build a unified frontend for real-time streaming conversational AI agent experiences over SSE using the AG-UI protocol.
- Build a library of generative UI components, including product cards, cart and order summaries, quote views, and escalation flows.
- Deliver merchant-facing control-panel settings and shopper-facing views for the agent suite.
- Own frontend architecture, component structure, streaming-data state management, theming, and embedding strategies across storefront environments.
- Collaborate with backend agent engineers on client-server event protocols and client-executed tools.
- Partner with product and design to create intuitive conversational experiences.
- Develop proof-of-concept solutions, harden them for general availability, mentor engineers, and improve frontend quality.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of frontend or full-stack software development experience.
- Preferred minimum bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical engineering, software engineering, computer engineering, or management information systems, or equivalent experience.
- Expert-level JavaScript skills.
- Experience building real-time or streaming UIs with SSE or WebSockets and managing their state challenges.
- Experience building conversational or AI-assistant UIs such as chat, generative UI, or copilots.
- Strong product sense and ability to own a user-facing surface end-to-end.
- Experience integrating frontends with complex backend APIs.
- Strong problem-solving, collaboration, communication, execution, and delivery skills.
- Preferred experience with e-commerce platforms or SaaS product development.
- Preferred familiarity with design systems, embedding UIs into third-party or themed environments, LLM-based product frontend patterns, automation tools, or AI copilots.
