Base Salary
$165k - $224k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and support a large-scale search platform serving AWS customers.
- Build robust, efficient, maintainable software using Java, Python, and C/C++.
- Work on OpenSearch and Apache Lucene, including opportunities to contribute to open source.
- Address data storage, query optimization, JVM performance optimization, security, machine learning, and distributed-systems challenges.
- Drive algorithm and architecture design and deliver reliable, scalable search and log analytics capabilities.
- Help establish the vision and objectives for Search Services based on customer needs and market opportunities.
- Participate in testing, operations, and ongoing improvements to meet evolving customer requirements.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- At least 2 years of experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- Programming experience in at least one software programming language.
- Preferred: 3 or more years of full software development lifecycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Preferred: bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
