Responsibilities
- Rack, stack, cable, configure, and validate GPU compute systems, including physical topology, power, cooling, firmware, BIOS, and burn-in.
- Build and tune NVLink, InfiniBand, RoCE, and Spectrum-X fabrics for large-scale GPU clusters.
- Integrate parallel storage systems to support distributed training and large multimodal datasets.
- Automate cluster deployment, firmware and driver management, and network fabric configuration.
- Operate and extend Kubernetes and Run:AI for GPU scheduling, quota management, and multi-tenant workload isolation.
- Monitor fleet health and rapidly triage hardware, networking, GPU, NCCL, and RoCE failures.
- Onboard internal engineers and researchers, troubleshoot their workloads, and serve as an infrastructure escalation point.
- Partner with product-facing teams to translate compute needs into platform capabilities.
Requirements
- 10+ years of hands-on infrastructure, HPC, or datacenter engineering experience supporting GPU compute at scale.
- Hands-on experience bringing up, cabling, and managing firmware and drivers for H200, B200, B300, or comparable GPU systems.
- Experience with NVLink, InfiniBand, RoCE, and Spectrum-X in clusters containing hundreds of GPUs.
- Experience with VAST, DDN, Weka, Lustre, or similar high-performance parallel storage.
- Kubernetes experience is required; Run:AI or similar GPU scheduling and orchestration experience is strongly preferred.
- Strong automation experience building repeatable deployment pipelines instead of relying on manual processes.
- Ability to lift and move 50+ pounds and perform physical datacenter work.
- Eligibility to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Top Secret clearance.
- Preferred experience includes NVIDIA NVL72 systems, LLM serving and inference infrastructure, network fabric tuning, GPU and network observability, automated fault detection, and shared internal platform infrastructure.
