Responsibilities

  • Own and evolve the full robotics software stack from low-level control to high-level task execution.
  • Develop and optimize motion planning, trajectory generation, and control algorithms for industrial robot arms.
  • Integrate cameras, force/torque sensors, and LiDAR into real-time robot control loops.
  • Implement industrial safety concepts and fail-safe behaviors for production environments.
  • Lead on-site testing, calibration, and commissioning of robotic systems.
  • Drive architecture decisions and promote engineering best practices across the team.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of hands-on robotics engineering experience with real robot hardware.
  • Strong proficiency in C++ and/or Python and a solid understanding of kinematics, dynamics, motion planning, and control theory.
  • Hands-on experience integrating vision and force/torque sensors into real-time robot control loops.
  • Experience with industrial or collaborative robot arms, end-of-arm tooling, and associated sensors.
  • Practical experience deploying robotic systems in industrial or production environments.
  • Proficiency with 3D CAD tools such as SolidWorks or CATIA.
  • Familiarity with EtherCAT or OPC-UA is preferred.
  • Machine vision or 3D perception experience is preferred.
  • Experience with surface finishing, welding, or coating automation is strongly preferred.
  • Fluent English; German language skills are a bonus.
  • Eligible to work in Germany and able to work on-site in Munich five days per week.

  • Estimated annual cash compensation of EUR 75,000 to EUR 110,000.
