Base Salary
$219k - $301k/yr
Responsibilities
- Partner with the sales team to help customers understand how Databricks can solve their business problems.
- Provide technical leadership as customers evaluate and adopt Databricks.
- Consult on big data architecture and implement proofs of concept for strategic customer, data science, and machine learning projects.
- Validate integrations with cloud services and third-party applications.
- Build and present reference architectures, how-to materials, and demo applications.
- Promote Databricks open-source projects through meetups, conferences, webinars, and developer communities.
- Build customer relationships, identify champions, and serve as a trusted advisor.
- Travel to customers in the assigned region.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in a customer-facing pre-sales, technical architecture, or consulting role.
- Experience designing and architecting distributed data systems.
- Programming and debugging experience in at least one of Python, Scala, Java, SQL, or R.
- Experience supporting public sector clients.
- Experience building solutions with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Experience with data engineering technologies such as Spark, Hadoop, or Kafka.
- Knowledge of data warehousing, including SQL and OLTP/OLAP/DSS environments.
- U.S. citizenship.
- A degree in a quantitative discipline such as Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or Operations Research is desired.
