Base Salary
$158k - $214k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and deploy distributed machine learning systems and large-scale software solutions.
- Collaborate with ML scientists to influence strategy and define the team road map.
- Drive system architecture and establish engineering best practices for a quality product.
- Build software for Amazon Connect and Amazon Lex serving a worldwide customer base.
- Coach and develop junior engineers.
- Participate in coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations across the software development life cycle.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- At least 2 years of non-internship experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- At least 1 year of software development engineer or related occupational experience.
- At least 1 year designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded, or distributed software applications using C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
- At least 1 year of object-oriented design experience.
- A bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related field.
- Programming experience with at least one software programming language.
- Preferred: at least 3 years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Preferred: bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.

- Base salary range of $158,100.00–$213,800.00 annually in New York, NY, plus potential sign-on payments and restricted stock units.
