Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain software tools and automation for networking infrastructure and systems across DigitalOcean sites.
- Work with networking infrastructure engineers to develop and maintain the network automation and monitoring platform.
- Provide guidance during code reviews to support code quality.
- Use AI coding tools to rapidly prototype and roll out solutions.
Requirements
- B.Tech., B.E., or B.Sc. in Computer Science or an equivalent degree.
- Knowledge of basic networking concepts and prior experience or strong interest in automating data center networks.
- Demonstrated ability in at least one programming language, specifically Go or Python.
- Familiarity with Linux.
- Familiarity with CI/CD, containers and/or virtualization, web servers, and databases.
- Preferred familiarity with observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or the ELK stack.
- Familiarity with automation frameworks, preferably Salt or Ansible.
- Good knowledge of code versioning tools such as Git and experience with multi-branch development.
