Responsibilities

Design and develop scalable, reliable, and maintainable backend applications, APIs, and services.
Design, implement, document, and optimize RESTful, GraphQL, and other service interfaces.
Design database schemas, write efficient queries, maintain data integrity, and optimize database performance.
Improve system scalability, availability, fault tolerance, and high-traffic performance.
Diagnose and resolve complex production bugs, outages, and performance issues.
Drive improvements in architecture, automation, security, observability, development processes, and engineering efficiency.

Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent education and work experience.
8–10+ years of professional software development experience.
Strong proficiency in Python and SQL database development, including Postgres or Oracle.
Strong system design and architecture experience with distributed systems.
Proven experience designing and developing secure, scalable RESTful APIs.
Experience with AWS services including Lambda, API Gateway, S3, DynamoDB, RDS, and Cognito.
Familiarity with CloudFormation, Terraform, and CDK infrastructure-as-code tools.
Understanding of event-driven architectures using SNS, SQS, or EventBridge.
Strong relational database experience and preferred NoSQL database experience.
Experience with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude, Copilot, or Codex.
Preferred experience includes AWS data lakes, data warehouses, analytics platforms, React, Angular, Vue.js, CloudWatch, Datadog, Splunk, Docker, ECS, or Kubernetes.

Full-time position with a hybrid work arrangement.
Candidates should be based in or near Kochi and able to work from the Kochi office.
Reports directly to the VP of Engineering.
