Base Salary
$98k - $123k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop new features focused on performance and efficiency.
- Implement scalable solutions and improve application performance collaboratively.
- Identify and act on opportunities to improve service reliability.
- Own software quality and reliability, including participating in pager rotation and occasional on-call response to system failures.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of professional experience in distributed SaaS software development.
- Proficiency in Java, algorithms, data structures, and high-throughput software development practices.
- Strong understanding of distributed systems and their core challenges.
- Experience using the command line to manage, investigate, and troubleshoot systems.
- Experience with databases such as MySQL, Postgres, DynamoDB, Redis, or MongoDB.
- Familiarity with public cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Familiarity with Kubernetes or Docker.
- Understanding of computer science fundamentals.
- Familiarity with networking, load balancing, low-latency and high-throughput distributed systems, observability and alerting patterns, or Java Flight Recorder is a bonus.
- Ability to work effectively in distributed teams and asynchronously is beneficial.
