
Senior Full-Stack Cloud Native Developer (OTC Team), Charles River Development, Assistant Vice President
State StreetResponsibilities
- Design, develop, test, debug, and implement medium- to large-scale software enhancements.
- Build and maintain a modern JavaScript front end and Java-based backend for the Enhanced OTC Module.
- Develop and test software using Java, C#, SQL, React, and related technologies.
- Provide architectural input and technical thought leadership within the team’s scope.
- Conduct code reviews and provide constructive technical guidance.
- Build and maintain automated tests, advance internal testing frameworks, and perform manual testing when needed.
- Create design documentation, API specifications, and customer-facing documentation.
- Collaborate with Business Analysts, Product Managers, and other engineering teams to translate requirements into scalable solutions.
- Support customer-facing and internal teams through technical troubleshooting and domain expertise.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum activities, including standups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, and retrospectives.
- Mentor and support junior engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related technical field is required.
- Master’s degree is strongly preferred.
- 8–10 years of professional software engineering experience, ideally in financial services.
- Strong Java development experience within cloud-native architectures.
- Experience developing enterprise-grade software on major cloud providers; Azure is highly preferred, with AWS or GCP also considered.
- Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks such as React or Angular.
- Exposure to Kubernetes and Kafka is beneficial.
- Some knowledge of OTC derivatives.
- 4–7 years developing solutions in Portfolio Management, Trading, Compliance, Post-Trade, IBOR, or Wealth Management is strongly desired.
- Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming, relational databases, scripting languages, and modern software engineering paradigms.
- Ability to contribute to complex design specifications and work independently on medium- to large-scale projects.
- Minimum 5 years working with Agile development methodologies is preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication and effective collaboration skills.
