Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and deployment of secure Azure cloud infrastructures.
- Define cloud architecture, migration strategies, technical roadmaps, and security protocols with stakeholders.
- Architect Kubernetes environments using self-hosted clusters and managed services including AKS, EKS, and GKE.
- Implement cloud-native solutions using DevSecOps, automation, monitoring, and continuous improvement practices.
- Support migration and delivery of IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS solutions.
- Automate infrastructure using Ansible, Terraform, ARM/Bicep templates, PowerShell, and scripting.
- Design high-availability, disaster-recovery, incident-response, cybersecurity, and cloud cost-optimization solutions.
- Provide customer-facing technical guidance, translate business requirements into technical solutions, and mentor cloud engineering teams.
- Lead cross-functional cloud transformation projects and align technical delivery with project objectives.
Requirements
- Active Top Secret clearance, with interim Top Secret or Secret clearance accepted.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 4 years of experience in cloud architecture, including hands-on Azure experience.
- Experience designing and implementing IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS cloud solutions.
- Strong experience with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, containerization, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Experience with Ansible, Terraform, ARM, Bicep, JSON, YAML, PowerShell, and Python or similar scripting languages.
- Knowledge of cloud security frameworks, network architectures, and identity management including Azure AD and OAuth.
- Experience in customer-facing roles and translating business requirements into technical solutions.
- Experience managing cross-functional teams and complex projects, with strong analytical and leadership skills.
- Master’s degree, Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect certification, government or federal experience, and knowledge of DevSecOps, microservices, cloud-native development, Azure Monitor, and performance tuning are preferred.
- Ability to work onsite daily in Washington, D.C., or Denver, CO.
