Base Salary
$129k - $198k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain shared AWS and GCP cloud infrastructure with Terraform.
- Operate multi-tenant EKS clusters, including node lifecycle, upgrades, security contexts, and networking.
- Support the migration from managed Kafka/MSK to WarpStream and maintain related operational tooling.
- Build Go-based platform tooling and Kubernetes reconcilers that provide self-service infrastructure primitives.
- Design and maintain networking and security infrastructure, including transit gateways, GCP interconnect, ingress, security groups, IAM policies, and IRSA.
- Participate in on-call rotations, respond to infrastructure incidents, improve runbooks, and automate recurring incident patterns.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of platform engineering experience.
- Hands-on experience building and operating AWS infrastructure, including services such as EC2, EKS, IAM, S3, and VPC.
- Working knowledge of Kubernetes in production environments.
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code; Terraform is strongly preferred, with Pulumi or CloudFormation also acceptable.
- Proficiency in Go, Python, or shell scripting; Go is preferred.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines such as GitHub Actions, Argo, or Jenkins, plus on-call and incident response experience.
- Preferred qualifications include experience with Kubernetes operators, controllers, CRDs, reconcilers, controller-runtime, Kafka, WarpStream, networking, regulated environments, SOC 2, ISO-27001, GitOps, ArgoCD, or Flux.
