Responsibilities
- Develop intelligent product-stream ranking and sorting systems using user signals.
- Build and improve highly trafficked APIs with minimal latency.
- Manage large datasets using Google BigQuery and integrate them with business-intelligence systems and the data platform.
- Collaborate with engineers, product managers, data scientists, and analysts on existing and new features.
- Take ownership of a product, provide deep technical support, and drive improvement ideas within the team.
- Continuously improve software quality and explore technologies and methods in machine learning and generative AI.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience building scalable APIs, for example with Node.js, Python, or Go.
- Current practical experience with a typed programming language such as TypeScript.
- Strong knowledge of SQL or NoSQL databases.
- Ability to write well-structured, efficient, and maintainable code.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working in an English-speaking, agile environment.
- Preferred experience with centralized logging, monitoring, and alerting solutions such as Datadog.
- Preferred experience with AWS or GCP and orchestration services such as Dagster or Airflow.
- Preferred experience with Elasticsearch or OpenSearch, dbt, distributed data-processing frameworks, and ML models or LLM-based systems.
