Responsibilities
- Design multi-agent systems containing coding-focused agents such as code writers, reviewers, testers, and deployers.
- Write prompts, logic, and scaffolding that guide AI agent behavior.
- Enable agents to use file systems, test runners, version control, and internal APIs.
- Evaluate and refine agent outputs, performance, collaboration patterns, and feedback loops.
- Prototype coding-assistant workflows using open-source LLMs and internal knowledge bases.
- Lead architecture discussions involving agentic build pipelines and automated pull request generation.
- Collaborate cross-functionally on AI-powered internal tooling interfaces.
- Define evaluation frameworks for AI contributions, including accuracy, speed, and impact.
- Explore secure and safe integration of generative AI into a public-sector codebase.
- Participate in the on-call rotation.
Requirements
- At least five years of professional software engineering experience.
- Proficiency with at least part of the stack, including Java, TypeScript with React, and MySQL.
- Extensive hands-on experience applying AI-assisted development tools to real-world software workflows.
- Experience with tools or systems such as Cursor, Windsurf, LLM APIs, code generation platforms, vector databases, LangChain, or custom agentic systems.
- Strong product mindset and interest in building technology with real-world public-sector impact.
- Ability to experiment, iterate, learn continuously, operate amid ambiguity, and help establish emerging best practices.
