Responsibilities
- Build, design, and implement scalable, fault-tolerant big data platforms that process terabytes of data.
- Develop backend services using Java, JDBC, AWS, and REST APIs.
- Build and maintain big data pipelines using Spark, Hadoop, Kafka, and Snowflake.
- Architect real-time data processing workflows and automation frameworks.
- Lead multiple projects and end-to-end feature development for data processing and reporting platforms.
- Design and develop GenAI-powered agents for analytics, operations, and data enrichment.
- Integrate LLMs such as OpenAI, Claude, and Mistral into services for query understanding, summarization, and decision support.
- Manage GenAI workflows involving prompt engineering, fine-tuning, vector embeddings, and retrieval-augmented generation.
- Improve the availability, scalability, and functionality of large data platforms.
- Collaborate with product managers and cross-functional teams on features and priorities.
- Support customer issues through email or JIRA and provide patches and updates.
- Conduct code and design reviews and help improve software performance.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of coding experience in Java and backend development.
- Strong computer science fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, and architectural design.
- Experience applying software engineering best practices across the full software development lifecycle.
- Hands-on experience with Scala, Spark, Kafka, Hadoop, and Snowflake.
- Experience building GenAI applications with LLM integrations, agent orchestration libraries, prompt engineering, embeddings, and retrieval-based generation.
- Experience deploying scalable, production-grade AI or data systems.
- Ability to lead end-to-end feature development and debug distributed systems.
- Preferred experience delivering large-scale big data pipelines, real-time systems, and data warehouses.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or an equivalent degree.
- Strong technical communication, collaboration, independent learning, and problem-solving skills.
