Responsibilities
- Design and implement native Windows components in modern C++ integrated with Win32, COM, Windows services, and system APIs.
- Build remote desktop and virtualization capabilities involving device redirection, input, display, audio/video, USB, and HID.
- Optimize and debug cross-process, cross-thread, performance-critical Windows client code, including memory, threading, IPC, and I/O.
- Investigate complex systems issues across kernel and user-mode boundaries, operating system integration, drivers, services, and client applications.
- Own features through architecture, design, implementation, testing, deployment, telemetry, and live-site debugging.
- Lead or contribute to technical design and code reviews, resolve customer and production issues, and mentor other engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field and 4+ years of technical engineering experience with coding in languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python, or equivalent experience.
- Production software development experience in C or C++.
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements, including the Microsoft Cloud Background Check.
- Preferred: experience with native Windows applications or system components; Win32, COM, Windows services, or Windows system APIs; and debugging performance, memory, threading, or concurrency issues in native code.
- Preferred: experience with device integration, USB, HID, audio/video, or driver-adjacent development.
- Preferred: familiarity with remote desktop or virtualization technologies such as RDP or ICA and with ETW, traces, dumps, or debuggers.
Benefits
- Base pay range is CAD $114,400–$203,900 per year across Canada.
- The position is open for a minimum of five days, with applications accepted continuously until filled.
