$191k - $267k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop and design solutions for scaling Reddit
- Build platform API projects that scale across the organization
- Mentor and coach junior engineers on the direct team
- Build, deliver, and operate services handling hundreds of thousands of transactions per second with five-nines availability
- Optimize Reddit’s media experience and platform performance
Requirements
- Software development experience in Golang or Python
- At least 5 years of experience with large-scale, mission-critical distributed systems
- Familiarity with API platform service architectures
- Experience building clean, maintainable, and well-tested code
- Media delivery expertise spanning backend systems through end-user delivery, including performance, scalability, and delivery optimization
- Strong communication and collaboration skills in a fully remote environment
