Responsibilities
- Design, develop, code, and troubleshoot secure, scalable IAM software components and solutions.
- Write high-quality code using at least one programming language with limited guidance.
- Consider upstream and downstream systems and technical implications when implementing solutions.
- Use SDLC tools, automation, and enterprise-authorized AI coding assistants to improve development, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation.
- Validate AI-generated outputs through peer review, automated testing, and secure coding standards.
- Apply technical troubleshooting to solve problems of basic complexity.
- Analyze large and diverse data sets to identify problems and support secure, stable application development.
- Learn and apply software development processes, methodologies, and skills.
Requirements
- Complete formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and have 2+ years of applied experience.
- Proficiency in at least one of Java, Python, Go, or C#, plus database/query languages such as SQL.
- Working knowledge of the full Software Development Life Cycle.
- Working knowledge of secure coding practices, secure SDLC, input validation, secrets handling, dependency hygiene, and OWASP basics.
- Understanding of IAM fundamentals including authentication, authorization, least privilege, and RBAC.
- Hands-on experience with enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools and the ability to critically evaluate and validate their outputs.
- Understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, data sensitivity, secure input/output handling, resiliency, and security expectations.
- Preferred qualifications include familiarity with identity federation, LDAP, Active Directory, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, SAML, SCIM, PAM platforms, secrets management, session management, ABAC, and cloud IAM services.
- Preferred experience includes AWS IAM, Azure AD/Entra ID, GCP IAM, containerization, serverless development, and infrastructure-as-code.
