Responsibilities
- Lead the design, definition, and delivery of full-stack web and mobile solutions for enterprise clients.
- Translate business requirements into functional, technical, integration, and solution architecture specifications.
- Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, architects, designers, and engineering teams on high- and low-level designs.
- Design end-to-end journeys across channels, APIs, applications, backend systems, distributed systems, and event-driven systems.
- Ensure solutions meet architecture standards, security protocols, data governance requirements, and financial-services regulations including GDPR, PSD2, and FCA guidelines.
- Support design reviews, feasibility assessments, effort estimates, dependency mapping, development, SIT/UAT, and production rollout.
- Identify technical risks and ensure scalability, performance, resilience, and maintainability.
- Develop responsive front-end applications, backend services, and APIs while collaborating with UX/UI designers.
- Oversee and mentor engineering teams and contribute to architecture governance, product ownership, backlog prioritization, and continuous improvement.
- Support pre-sales activities including RFIs, RFPs, proposal development, solution shaping, estimating, scoping, and bid defence.
- Present complex technical concepts and solution value to technical stakeholders, non-technical stakeholders, and C-level executives.
- Contribute to front-end community growth, innovation, practice development, and engineering capability building.
Requirements
- Strong full-stack solution architecture and technical leadership experience across front-end and backend development.
- Expertise with JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, and modern front-end frameworks, with React preferred and Angular or Vue beneficial.
- Experience with Node.js and at least one Node.js framework such as Express.js, Nest.js, or Hapi.js.
- Experience with Java, Spring Boot, .NET, RESTful APIs, microservices, GraphQL, and integration patterns.
- Experience deploying solutions on AWS, Azure, or GCP and familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, GitLab, Jenkins, and CI/CD practices.
- Experience with distributed and event-driven systems and strong responsive-design skills.
- Knowledge of mobile architecture including native iOS or Android, Flutter, or React Native is beneficial.
- Experience with Kafka or MQ development is beneficial.
- Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot is beneficial.
- Knowledge of UX/UI principles, wireframing, accessibility standards, Agile methodologies, Scrum, and SAFe.
- Strong banking or broader financial-services experience, including insurance, wealth, or capital markets.
- Strong presentation, storytelling, communication, stakeholder-management, commercial, leadership, and mentoring skills.
- Ability to support business development, practice management, engineering capability development, and client engagements.
