Responsibilities
- Build buyer tooling for targeting, campaign management, budget controls, analytics, and large-scale collectible acquisition.
- Develop and optimize real-time targeting, matching, and ranking engines to improve GMV, conversion, and offer-to-sale velocity.
- Design and operate scalable microservices and distributed, event-driven systems for millions of collectibles.
- Build low-friction seller experiences for pricing, evaluating options, and completing sales.
- Own projects end-to-end from ambiguous problem definition through shipped, instrumented production products.
- Coordinate delivery across engineering, product, business, design, data, AI/ML, and partner teams.
- Connect systems across grading, collection management, vaulting, payments, logistics, and risk.
- Communicate technical plans, specifications, tradeoffs, and progress to executives and engineering stakeholders.
Requirements
- 6+ years of engineering experience.
- Track record of designing, shipping, and scaling 0-to-1 products with measurable business impact.
- Ideally 2+ years operating as a Senior IC or at an equivalent technical leadership level.
- Strong proficiency in Java and Spring Boot, with modern frontend experience in React and Svelte.
- Experience designing and operating microservices and Kafka-based event-driven architectures.
- Experience running workloads on Kubernetes and working within the AWS ecosystem.
- Experience with observability, dashboards, monitoring, alerting, and distributed tracing using tools such as Datadog, New Relic, or OpenTelemetry.
- Ability to work across frontend, backend, infrastructure, and data as needed.
- Strong written and verbal communication, systems thinking, customer focus, ownership, and ability to influence without direct authority.
- Passion for collecting is a plus.
