Staff Software Engineer - Data Platform

Responsibilities
- Extend the data platform to surface insights and support Machine Learning.
- Enhance core platform services including Ingest, Curation, and Retention as a Service.
- Work hands-on with modern data infrastructure technologies.
- Mentor and guide a team of engineers on high-impact projects.
- Operate in a full DevOps model for development, testing, and support.
- Drive continuous improvement of engineering standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver data solutions.
- Participate in on-call rotation to ensure data infrastructure reliability.
Requirements
- Deep understanding of distributed data systems and large-scale datasets.
- Ability to design and optimize scalable data models for OLAP and OLTP systems.
- Experience with data governance frameworks and observability tooling.
- Proven technical leadership and mentoring experience.
- Strong customer and product focus to align data solutions with business goals.
- Excellent communication skills for articulating technical designs.
- Experience with automated testing and data validation in deployment pipelines.
- Familiarity with design principles emphasizing security and dependability.
