Responsibilities
- Develop and enhance SAS programs for regulatory reporting, stress testing, and Board reporting.
- Learn and extend the existing codebase and implement functional and technical enhancements.
- Refine functional requirements from the Algorithmic Solutions team and translate technical specifications into implementation packages.
- Optimize performance for large-scale data processing and very large databases and tables.
- Document, test, and continuously improve new development, including participation in code cleanup.
- Serve as a point of contact for audit requests and participate in regular squad and chapter meetings.
- Collaborate with Finance, Risk, Operations, Production Support, and other IT teams.
Requirements
- At least 6–9 years of experience in SAS programming using Base and Macro, version 9.
- Experience developing solutions for complex topics and working with SAS/Connect to Oracle.
- Advanced experience handling mass data in very large databases and tables, including related performance issues.
- Experience with testing environments and developing test cases, plus working knowledge of SQL.
- Knowledge of service-based architecture, technical architecture, and framework design.
- Knowledge of Git, Bitbucket, Unix scripting, Python, SAS Grid Manager, and Airflow or Google Cloud Composer.
- Knowledge of financial business processes, especially counterparty credit risk.
- Fluent written and verbal English, strong analytical skills, flexibility in problem solving, and ability to share knowledge with team members.
- Proven ability to use AI tools to improve productivity and workflows while applying responsible judgment to data and AI outputs.
