Responsibilities
- Research, design, develop, modify, construct, train, evaluate, and tune machine learning and computer vision algorithms and models.
- Develop techniques for object detection and recognition, image classification, feature learning, text mining, prediction, recommendation, ranking, and related applications.
- Build scalable machine learning systems and data-driven products using large datasets and big-data computation platforms.
- Design integrations and tune machine learning and computer vision algorithms, including work with embedded vision processing systems.
- Shape applied ML/AI product strategy through customer engagement, solution-team collaboration, discovery workshops, and prototyping initiatives.
- Support recruitment, training, and development of ML/AI team members.
- Engage with the broader ML/AI community through research, speaking, teaching, formal collaborations, or other channels.
Requirements
- 2–5 years of work or educational experience in machine learning or artificial intelligence.
- BA/BS in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience; an advanced degree is preferred.
- Experience creating and applying machine learning algorithms to real-world problems involving large datasets.
- Experience building scalable machine learning systems and data-driven products with cross-functional teams.
- Experience with one or more of Java, C++, or Python.
- Experience with deep learning frameworks such as Caffe, Torch, or TensorFlow and image/video vision libraries or platforms such as OpenCV, Clarafai, or Google Cloud Vision.
- Knowledge of supervised and unsupervised learning, statistical modeling, data extraction, analysis, and neural network development.
- Experience with big-data platforms or tools such as Hadoop, Spark, HIVE, Tableau, HBase, or Kafka.
- Experience working with cloud services such as AWS, Microsoft, IBM, or Google Cloud.
- Experience with areas such as natural language processing, text understanding, classification, pattern recognition, recommendation systems, targeting systems, or ranking systems.
- Research-community contributions, including conference publications such as NIPS, ICML, ACL, or CVPR, are preferred.
