Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deliver scalable, maintainable, high-performance software solutions.
- Build and maintain backend services using Java, Spring Boot, testing frameworks, databases, and messaging systems.
- Evolve infrastructure and deployment pipelines to support secure, reliable delivery of digital solutions.
- Implement secure coding and unit testing practices to improve software quality and reduce vulnerabilities.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, engineers, and cross-functional stakeholders on requirements and solution strategies.
- Participate in code reviews, knowledge sharing, technology communities, and technical assignments.
- Manage risk and strengthen controls while contributing to policies, procedures, and governance activities.
- Lead complex tasks or guide team members through collaborative assignments, depending on leadership responsibilities.
Requirements
- Experience with Java, Spring Boot, JUnit, databases, messaging queues, and software delivery tooling.
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, including Oracle and MongoDB.
- Experience with DevSecOps and platforms or tools such as OpenShift, Kubernetes, GitLab, Jira, SonarQube, Prisma, and Wiz.
- Experience with Maven or Gradle and messaging systems such as Apache Kafka or IBM MQ.
- Experience with rapid application development using AI models or tools such as Claude and GitLab Duo.
- Understanding of Computer Science, object-oriented design, and data structures, supported by a Computer Science degree or equivalent understanding.
- Ability to apply secure coding, unit testing, risk management, controls, cross-functional collaboration, complex analysis, and stakeholder communication.
