Responsibilities
- Analyze complex systems and collaboratively design new products and services using Java, Spark, Python, and Scala.
- Integrate new data sources and tools.
- Implement scalable and reliable distributed data replication strategies.
- Mentor and provide architecture and design direction to onsite and offshore developers.
- Design, develop, and deploy data tools supporting operational and product use cases.
- Analyze large datasets using components of the Hadoop ecosystem.
- Own product features from development and testing through production deployment.
- Evaluate big data technologies and prototype solutions to improve data processing architecture.
- Automate data and engineering workflows.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 5–6 years of experience delivering enterprise software solutions.
- Proficiency in Java, Spark, Scala, Python, and AWS cloud technologies.
- At least 3 years of experience with Hadoop and Spark technologies, including tools such as MapReduce, HDFS, HBase, Hive, Flume, Sqoop, Kafka, and Scala.
- Experience with data ingestion and transformation, big data schemas and models, and data lifecycle efficiency.
- Experience with Airflow and Python is preferred.
- Understanding of automated QA needs related to big data.
- Strong object-oriented design and analysis skills.
- Understanding of secure application development methodologies.
- Ability to translate technical and business requirements into technical implementations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
