Responsibilities

  • Develop high-performance rendering systems for multiple AAA games.
  • Collaborate with game teams from design through implementation and optimization.
  • Define and maintain cohesive Frostbite rendering pipeline and runtime architecture.
  • Optimize rendering solutions across platforms for CPU, GPU, and memory performance.
  • Stay current with hardware and real-time rendering advancements.
  • Improve artist workflows and content-creation quality and efficiency.
  • Mentor and support engineers and provide hands-on support to game teams.
  • Investigate difficult-to-reproduce bugs and develop creative reproduction and debugging approaches.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience with C++ for real-time rendering.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with low-level rendering systems, including rendering pipelines, mesh systems, shader systems, and runtime systems.
  • Experience defining rendering pipeline architecture and integrating rendering systems with modern art content pipelines.
  • Experience developing rendering technology for multiple shipped AAA titles on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
  • Significant experience with modern graphics APIs such as DX12, Vulkan, and Metal.
  • Experience with HLSL and GLSL shader programming.
  • Strong knowledge of modern CPU and GPU hardware architectures.
  • Significant experience with CPU and GPU profiling tools such as Pix, Razor, Superluminal, and Vtune.
  • Deep understanding of memory management and multithreading, including debugging and optimization.
  • Preferred experience with GPU-driven rendering, bindless rendering, meshlets, cross-platform scalability and performance, engine-level systems and tools, ISA, x86, ARM, RDNA2, and GCN.
