  • Implement subscriber-management capabilities including PPPoE/IPoE, DHCPv4/DHCPv6, Prefix Delegation, RADIUS/AAA, PAP/CHAP, IPAM, subscriber policy, QoS, accounting, and Change of Authorization.
  • Develop CP-UP separation, session programming, state download/replay, and reconciliation for Silicon One User Plane Functions.
  • Build high-availability, redundancy, scale, failover, convergence, and subscriber-session continuity features.
  • Write and execute unit, component/integration, system, regression, scale, performance, resiliency, and high-availability tests.
  • Develop Python test automation using pyATS/Genie or equivalent and integrate it with CI/CD and regression pipelines.
  • Build and maintain Docker, Kubernetes, and SMI-based test environments for subscriber-scale and traffic scenarios.
  • Develop and maintain gRPC/REST APIs, YANG/OpenConfig models, CLI functionality, and model-driven telemetry.
  • Troubleshoot distributed issues across the Control Plane, Silicon One UPFs, and SMI/Kubernetes using logs, traces, core dumps, RADIUS transactions, and telemetry.
  • Optimize performance, memory, and convergence for millions of subscribers and large UPF fleets.
  • Use Git, participate in code reviews, collaborate with Test Engineering and cross-functional technical teams, and deliver features through the release lifecycle.
  • Use approved AI coding assistants and engineering agents for development, testing, analysis, triage, and documentation while validating generated output responsibly.
  • Mentor junior engineers and independently own significant Control Plane feature areas and release recommendations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field.
  • Experience in systems/embedded or cloud-native software engineering for networking products.
  • Strong programming skills in C/C++ and/or Go on Linux, plus Python for test automation and scripting.
