Responsibilities

  • Own quality across Apple’s retail ecosystem, including eCommerce backend services, SAP integrations, and cross-functional end-to-end workflows.
  • Architect test automation frameworks and lead testing strategy across multiple concurrent projects.
  • Drive reliability, deployment, and scalability of compute platforms across on-premises and hybrid cloud environments.
  • Build Infrastructure as Code, optimize container orchestration, and streamline delivery pipelines.
  • Design and deploy observability stacks and ensure high availability, security, and operational excellence.
  • Manage production on-call rotations, critical incident triage, root cause analysis, and post-incident reviews.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or an equivalent field with 7+ years of experience, or a master’s degree with 5+ years of experience.
  • 7+ years of Site Reliability Engineering experience building, scaling, and operating large-scale distributed platform services and Java applications.
  • Strong understanding of open-source technologies for large-scale data processing and complex distributed systems.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language such as Python, Java, Go, Bash, or Ansible.
  • Experience designing and deploying observability stacks using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, OpenTelemetry, or ELK.
  • Advanced knowledge of SRE principles, including error budgets and SLO, SLI, and SLA definition.
  • Hands-on experience with relational, NoSQL, or OLAP databases and event-driven streaming architectures such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
  • Knowledge of enterprise security standards, cryptography, OAuth, SAML, SSO, and compliance governance.
