Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain backend services for route-planning estimators and other operational machine-learning services.
- Own code quality and structure through code reviews, refactoring, and architecture work in ML repositories.
- Collaborate with Data Scientists to bring models and feature pipelines reliably into production.
- Develop and operate data and training pipelines in Databricks.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps, including automated testing and deployments.
- Ensure reliable operation in the cloud, analyze production incidents, and implement sustainable improvements to code and processes.
Requirements
- Professional software-engineering experience contributing independently to production services or components, from implementation through reviews, testing, and stable operation.
- Strong production experience with Python and the ability to write structured, maintainable, and testable code.
- Experience with automated testing, including unit and integration testing and tools such as pytest.
- Experience with cloud environments and CI/CD.
- Understanding of machine-learning concepts including training and inference paths, features, retraining, and evaluation sufficient to productionize Data Scientist models and pipelines.
- Ability to explain technical topics appropriately to different audiences and work comfortably in a German-speaking environment.
- Confident technical English communication skills.
