Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize Linux kernel drivers for RDMA/EFA and userspace provider libraries in rdma-core.
- Collaborate with chip designers to bring new custom silicon capabilities to life in software.
- Contribute to the upstream Linux kernel RDMA subsystem and rdma-core open-source project.
- Architect networking features including GPU-direct RDMA, adaptive routing, collective offloads, and multipath transport.
- Build monitoring and automation tools to improve driver testing for functionality, reliability, and performance.
- Own hardware bring-up, feature enablement, testing, deployment, and production troubleshooting across the global AWS fleet.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience in C/C++.
- Experience contributing to the architecture and design of new and current systems, including reliability and scaling considerations.
- Preferred experience with the full software development lifecycle, coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Preferred experience debugging, profiling, and applying software engineering best practices in large-scale systems.
- Preferred experience writing low-level drivers and working with DMA, PCIe, or hardware/software co-design.
- Open-source project contributions or upstream kernel work are preferred.
