Responsibilities

  • Threat model new silicon and firmware architectures.
  • Conduct low-level penetration testing against privileged and externally reachable interfaces.
  • Review designs and code across multiple firmware components.
  • Build fuzzing and analysis tooling for repeatable security testing at silicon scale.
  • Engage directly with firmware and hardware teams to improve organizational security.
  • Develop security tools such as fuzzers, scanners, and analysis frameworks.
  • Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and cross-functional collaboration.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of low-level systems security research and vulnerability-testing experience.
  • Experience developing security tools, including fuzzers, scanners, or analysis frameworks.
  • Experience with security architecture design and threat modeling.
  • Proficiency in C and experience with Python.
  • Deep knowledge of ARM and x86 processor security.
  • Strong understanding of secure boot, cryptographic implementations, hardware security, and side-channel attacks.
  • Knowledge of security protocols and cryptographic primitives.
  • Experience using AI for security research.
  • Technical English proficiency.
  • Preferred: firmware reverse engineering and vulnerability research experience.
  • Preferred: experience with AFL++, libFuzzer, or Syzkaller.
  • Preferred: knowledge of virtualization security or hypervisor technologies.
  • Preferred: familiarity with AWS services.
  • Preferred: security publications, CVEs, CTFs, bug bounties, or competitive security research experience.
