Base Salary
$179k - $224k/yr
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to build backend systems for mobile and web applications.
- Deliver high-quality web application code and maintain site stability through code reviews and testing.
- Dedicate 80-90% of time to hands-on coding and mentor junior engineers.
- Leverage AI tools throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Lead large projects by anticipating infrastructure needs and proposing innovative AI solutions.
- Integrate AI into existing systems in collaboration with AI experts.
- Influence the future direction of projects and technologies.
- Participate in on-call rotation to address production reliability issues.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience writing readable, tested, and efficient code.
- Experience with Ruby or Python programming languages.
- Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.
- Experience designing scalable, maintainable, and secure APIs.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
- Knowledge of LLMs and GenAI best practices.
- Familiarity with AI development tools like Cursor or Copilot.
- Experience with cloud infrastructure, preferably AWS, and deployment tools like Kubernetes and Docker.
- Understanding of logging, monitoring, and telemetry.
- Knowledge of DevOps concepts and principles.
- Curiosity and a willingness to learn new tools and technologies.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
