Base Salary

$79k - $210k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Define, develop, debug, and design software applications or operating systems.
  • Provide technical leadership to software developers.
  • Specify, design, and implement changes to existing software architecture.
  • Develop and operate large-scale, highly available distributed services and infrastructure.
  • Troubleshoot issues, tune performance, analyze errors, and contribute to knowledge sharing and best practices.
  • Plan and prioritize work, track timelines, collaborate across teams, and improve team processes and workflows.
  • Potentially lead projects or supervise lower-level personnel.

Requirements

  • At least 4 years of software engineering or related experience.
  • BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
  • Proficiency in Java.
  • Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, operating systems, and distributed systems fundamentals.
  • Strong troubleshooting and performance-tuning skills.
  • Experience with REST API and service-oriented development.
  • Preferred: hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, GCP, or OCI.
  • Preferred: experience delivering and operating large-scale, highly available distributed systems.
  • Preferred: proficiency with scripting languages such as Python or Perl.
  • Preferred: experience with multi-tenant virtualized infrastructure, databases, NoSQL systems, storage, and distributed persistence technologies.
