Base Salary
$79k - $210k/yr
Responsibilities
- Define, develop, debug, and design software applications or operating systems.
- Provide technical leadership to software developers.
- Specify, design, and implement changes to existing software architecture.
- Develop and operate large-scale, highly available distributed services and infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot issues, tune performance, analyze errors, and contribute to knowledge sharing and best practices.
- Plan and prioritize work, track timelines, collaborate across teams, and improve team processes and workflows.
- Potentially lead projects or supervise lower-level personnel.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of software engineering or related experience.
- BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- Proficiency in Java.
- Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, operating systems, and distributed systems fundamentals.
- Strong troubleshooting and performance-tuning skills.
- Experience with REST API and service-oriented development.
- Preferred: hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, GCP, or OCI.
- Preferred: experience delivering and operating large-scale, highly available distributed systems.
- Preferred: proficiency with scripting languages such as Python or Perl.
- Preferred: experience with multi-tenant virtualized infrastructure, databases, NoSQL systems, storage, and distributed persistence technologies.

- U.S. hiring range is $79,200 to $209,500 per year, with possible bonus and equity eligibility.
